Nobody likes fundraisers. Unfortunately, fundraising is a fact of life in political campaigns. It costs money to reach prospective voters and to run a successful campaign. Running for office is expensive: voter lists, signs, postcards, mailers, office supplies, advertising. Everything costs money. And the prices aren’t going down.
Linda is running a tight, cost-effective campaign. She has a very active volunteer team who work tirelessly—and economically—for her. They knock on doors, write postcards, speak to voters, organize events, make get out the vote calls, talk to neighbors and everyday help Linda reach out and through the community. In her 2022 campaign, with only 75 days to campaign, Linda won almost 47% of the vote with just a $17,000 budget. The 2024 election is going to be very important for our democracy and rights—and it will cost much more. It is critical that we elect strong effective candidates from the top to the bottom of the ballot.
Fundraising is necessary for all candidates. Fundraisers don’t have to be boring.
Fortunately, Linda Robertson isn’t just everybody. She wants to meet her supporters— and invite them to have fun too. That’s why she’s having a Fun(d)raiser on February 12th. You are invited to join us at E & S Fish Company in St. Charles from 6:30-8:30 for music, dance and Valentine fun! Delicious appetizers, dessert, soda, wine & beer will be served.
Attending fundraisers isn’t just about standing around and writing checks. Please come on Monday, February 12th. It will be a great opportunity to talk in person with candidate Linda, meet members of her team—and be with people who value the same things you do. We gain strength when we work together. And we can celebrate winter being half over!
See you February 12th!
