Successful Unity in the Community Drive

The September 24th Unity in the Community drive, sponsored by We Can Lead Change, was very successful.

Community members who contributed to the Lazarus House were happy to fill up a SUV with many donated materials including nitrile gloves, black garbage bags, aluminum pans & foil, disposable cups and shelf stable juice.  These urgently needed donations will support Lazarus House’s work to help people in need find shelter, food and other necessary services.

As a bonus, community members had an opportunity to meet and speak with ten of the candidates for the March 2024 primary elections.  Many people signed petitions so that their favorite local candidates can get on the ballot.

Linda Robertson, candidate for IL65 State Representative was excited to meet with potential constituents and hear what their concerns are. She wants to be their voice in Springfield.
