Linda’s Valentine Fun(d)raiser on February 12th lived up to its name. It was a great success with great food, great company and a great deal of enthusiasm for Linda’s campaign. And it was fun!
Held at E & S Seafood, on 2nd street in St Charles, the festive fundraiser was attended by a large crowd of donors, friends and other Democratic candidates who celebrated our work.
Linda spoke passionately about her campaign. For more than a year, she has been listening to the people in this district. She has learned much from their stories: the shortage of affordable childcare, the threats posed by climate change, the unaffordability of post-secondary education, the fear that schools aren’t safe because of gun violence and the importance of accessible health care. Linda promises to fight for the needs of our community. She will use data and logic to solve problems and improve the return on our tax dollars. Linda concluded with:
“We want a good future for our children, grandchildren and the next generations. It’s the right thing to do. We have to work for it now.”
Everyone at the event left convinced that we can flip Illinois House District 65, and that we can send a scientist to Springfield.
We need a full-time representative in Springfield. If you want to help Linda flip this district, please click here.
